After Uber’s departure from Viet Nam’s ride hailing market, a newcomer named Mass Vehicle Ledger Foundation Pte. Ltd (MVLchain) has made its move to enter the country’s Grab-dominated ride industry.
Minister of Transport Truong Quang Nghia has announced that State management towards Uber solely aims to ensure that the transportation company’s operations in Viet Nam comply with regulations.
The Ha Noi Transport Association has suggested that Uber and Grabtaxi
services should be suspended to ensure equal competition between them
and the normal taxi firms.
The United States-based cab company Uber will accept cash payments along with credit card payments in the local market from the third quarter of this year.
